The Walk Alongside Me training focuses on identifying and defining coercive controlling behaviours, and how to work to increase survivor agency and self efficacy, using response-based practice, and trauma- and violence-informed practice frameworks.
While Family Violence Risk Assessment frameworks (including MARAM) are critical to family violence practice, there is more to family violence response than risk assessment. This training provides the conduit between risk assessment frameworks and upskilling practitioners with key theory and practice approaches to enable them to walk alongside survivors of coercive control safely, respectfully and ethically.
