Key reasons many people choose to work in primary prevention are to build momentum and create change. We are passionate about mobilising people and community to transform power structures and attitudes that drive gender-based violence.
Having conversations and advocating for change with people we work with, decision makers, workshop participants, parents and funders is critical to the success and momentum of change. We’re often inviting the exploration of new or challenging ideas through these conversations, and people can often react to the topic of gender equality in different ways – from denying there is an issue, to placating or de-prioritising the efforts for change.
