This is a free workshop presented by UMFC for all community members, teachers and volunteers working with children and young people.
The workshop will cover the following topics-
Impact of Trauma on Children and Young People’s Behaviours
Children and young people in our communities are often labelled as violent, naughty, intimidating, bullying, withdrawn, or angry. On the surface, these behaviours can appear to be choices and are frequently met with punitive responses. However, these behaviours often stem from underlying trauma and hurt.
How to Respond to Trauma Behaviours
This workshop will explore the root causes of these behaviours and provide guidance on how to identify and respond to them in a supportive and inclusive manner. By understanding the impact of trauma, we can ensure that all children and young people have the opportunity to interact and participate fully in classrooms, sports, and community groups.
Join us to learn how to create a more compassionate and inclusive environment for every child and young person.
