SUMMARY:Walk Alongside Me: Safe and Respectful Ways of Working with Survivors of Coercive Control
DESCRIPTION:The Walk Alongside Me training focuses on identifying and defining coercive controlling behaviours\, and how to work to increase survivor agency and self efficacy\, using response-based practice\, and trauma- and violence-informed practice frameworks. \nWhile Family Violence Risk Assessment frameworks (including MARAM) are critical to family violence practice\, there is more to family violence response than risk assessment. This training provides the conduit between risk assessment frameworks and upskilling practitioners with key theory and practice approaches to enable them to walk alongside survivors of coercive control safely\, respectfully and ethically. \nFacilitated by Ada Conroy and Kelly Finch \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKelly and Ada are passionate family violence advocates\, with almost 50 years of experience between them in working across the family violence response continuum. \nFind out more about Ada and Kelly here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE
